high-protein ranch & cheddar dip

The High-Protein Summer Dip I Bring to Every Last-Minute Get-Together

You already know I’m a snack board girl through and through. Give me something crunchy, dippable, and protein-packed, and I’m set—especially when summer plans pop up out of nowhere (you know the “hey, come by around 3” kind of texts).

This is the high-protein ranch & cheddar dip I’ve been making on repeat, and trust me, it never gets old. It’s creamy, savory, takes less than 10 minutes to throw together, and has 12 grams of protein per serving. I pair it with Milton’s Gluten Free Crackers because they’re light, crispy, and genuinely the best gluten-free crackers I’ve ever had.

Whether you’re headed to a backyard BBQ, pool hangout, or just need a protein-packed dip for your own lunch situation, this one’s a winner.

(may vary slightly depending on brands used)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese (blended until smooth)

  • 1½ cups nonfat Greek yogurt

  • 4 tbsp ranch seasoning (or one full packet)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup real bacon bits

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (reduced-fat works great!)

Instructions:

  1. Add the blended cottage cheese and Greek yogurt into a large bowl and mix until smooth.

  2. Stir in the ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Fold in the bacon bits, chives, and cheddar cheese until everything is well combined.

  4. Optional but recommended: Chill for 30 minutes to let the flavors come together.

  5. Serve with Milton’s Gluten Free Crackers, fresh veggies, or even spread on a sandwich or wrap. I love topping with more cheese, bacon and chives!

Where to Find Milton’s:

Milton’s Gluten Free Crackers are available at Walmart, plus other major retailers! I always keep a few resealable bags in the pantry—they’re perfect for quick snacks, last-minute hosting, or honestly, straight out of the bag while meal prepping.
