hot honey salmon tacos
Salt, sweet, and spicy–my three favorite words when it comes to tacos!
These Hot Honey Salmon Tacos are the best, and SUPER easy to make. They’re packed with healthy fats (ladies, you need those fats for hormone health!) from the salmon and avocado, and have a light, fruity kick from the mango and lime juice. Perfect to pair with a side of rice, a salad, or veggies!
MACROS per taco: 8g f / 25g c / 19g p
Ingredients:
For the avocado mango salsa:
1 medium avocado, diced
1/2 medium red onion, diced
1/2 cup fresh mango, diced (I bought pre-cut from Aldi to make it easy!)
1/3 cup cilantro, finely chopped
1 lime, juiced (or ~2 tbsp lime juice)
pinch of salt, pepper, & garlic powder
For the salmon:
10 oz fresh salmon, cubed
1 tbsp Mike’s Hot Honey
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp olive oil
pinch of salt
freshly ground black pepper
+ 4 of your favorite tortillas to eat them with! I used Mission Carb Balance Tortillas
Directions:
Prep your salsa. Dice up all of your salsa ingredients, add lime juice and seasonings, and set aside.
Toss the cubed salmon with the honey, olive oil, and seasonings until fully coated.
In a greased pan, add in your cubes of salmon and cook for a few minutes on both sides until golden brown.
Heat up your tortillas (I just do mine in the microwave), and then add 1/4 of the salsa and 1/4 of the salmon to each taco.
Feel free to add more honey, feta cheese, or a lime crema over top. Enjoy!
