A Realistic Day of Eats as a Busy Mom in a Calorie Deficit

A full day of eats while out of the house! I had a hair appointment AND we celebrated Hudson filling his star jar, but I managed to get 135g of protein in and stayed within my macro goals. Sharing to show that a GOOD day of eats doesn’t have to involve spending hours in the kitchen or eating “perfect” 24/7.

Morning Supplements

Usually I start the day with a preworkout snack, but since it was a rest day I started my morning with my creatine gummies from Create Wellness (code Britt20 !!) along with my usual supplements + medication before getting the day started.

Breakfast

Since I knew I’d be out of the house most of the day and wasn’t sure what meals/snacks would look like later on, I made sure breakfast was super filling and protein-packed.

  • 2 farm fresh eggs

  • 1/3 cup Good Culture cottage cheese

  • Sourdough bread from Whole Foods (about 60g)

  • Blueberries + strawberries

  • 1 maple chicken sausage from Applegate

This combo kept me full for HOURS.

Coffee Run + Protein

On my way to my hair appointment, I had a protein shake from Fairlife for addtional protein and grabbed coffee from 7 Brew.

My order:

  • Medium sugar-free, iced, Banana Bread Blondie with almond milk

Macros: 1g p / 30g c / 6g f

Snack

While at my hair appointment, I kept it simple with a banana!!

Lunch: My Macro-Friendly Chipotle Order

We ordered Chipotle Mexican Grill for lunch and this is one of my go-to orders when I want something quick, filling, and easy to fit into my goals.

My bowl:

  • Light white rice

  • Chicken

  • Fajita veggies

  • Pico de gallo

  • Corn salsa

  • Light cheese

  • Lettuce

  • 2 tbsp of cilantro lime sauce

  • 1 tbsp of sour cream

MACROS: 34g p / 45g c / 16g f

Afternoon Pick-Me-Up

On the drive home, I had a mini AlaniNu Cotton Candy energy drink.

Dinner

For dinner, we made Ainsley’s hot honey chili crisp chicken with avocado pineapple salsa and sweet potatoes. It was SOOOOO good, I cannot even describe.

Dessert

After dinner, we took Hudson out for ice cream because he filled his star jar 🥹 and I got a kid’s plain chocolate frozen yogurt. Because balance > perfection always!! Make the memories :)
