(will vary slightly depending on marinara + biscuit brand!)
Ingredients
1 lb 96% lean ground turkey, cooked
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 cups marinara sauce
2 oz turkey pepperoni, quartered
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 Pillsbury Grands), cut into quarters
1.5 cups shredded reduced-fat cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Seasonings for turkey:
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Salt + pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, cook the 96% lean ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks.
Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.Transfer cooked turkey to a large bowl. Add marinara sauce, sliced green pepper, and turkey pepperoni. Stir to combine.
Optional: Reserve a small handful of pepperoni for topping.
Gently fold in the quartered biscuit pieces, making sure they’re well coated.
Transfer mixture to your prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Top with 1.5 cups shredded cheese + parmesan (and extra pepperoni if using).
Bake for 20–25 minutes covered, or until biscuits are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. I like to cook for another few minutes after to brown the cheese and biscuits a bit.
Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or extra Italian seasoning if desired.
Tips & Notes
The marinara makes this super soft + saucy, so make sure biscuits are fully cooked through (check the center!)
If you want it slightly crispier, bake an extra 3–5 minutes
This reheats so well for meal prep
